Founder Laila Brandt

Laila is driven by a single mission: to help people pause, breathe, and reconnect with what truly matters through meaningful rituals and moments of presence. She is a yoga teacher, sauna gus master, and creator of handcrafted essential oil candles and organic herbal teas.

This path wasn't linear. She grew up on a biodynamic market garden in Zealand, where the rhythms of nature shaped her childhood and taught her about interconnectedness. As a young adult, she stepped away to find her own way, working 15 years as a radiographer—but something felt incomplete.

That search led her to yoga, where she learned the practice of presence and listening inward. This awareness opened doors to understanding how scent profoundly affects our wellbeing. She began creating scented candles with pure essential oils, and this passion deepened further when she became a sauna gus master, learning how scent works with heat and steam to heal and restore.

Through this journey, Laila found her way back to her roots in a modern form. Today, BRANDT SCENT is a true family endeavor—her brother runs the original farm Kiselgården, while her parents cultivate the herbs for the teas on their biodynamic market garden.

Each product is an invitation: to pause, to breathe, and to transform everyday life into sacred presence.
